Miami born-and-raised with proud Dominican roots, multi-faceted artist, actress, podcast host, real estate investor, and AfroLatina activist Amara La Negra has been named Billboard's Artist on the Rise and one of Rolling Stone's 10 to Watch. In 2022, Amara added “mother” to her long list of accomplishments, as she gave birth to beautiful twin girls Sumajestad Royalty and Sualteza Empress. In the wake of a painful split from the father of her daughters, Season 5 found Amara exploring a new romance with Safaree – only to publicly disavow the relationship amid a social media backlash. Now, as she reignites her music career, Amara is picking up the pieces of her personal life, handling unfinished business, and setting her sights on reclaiming her spot atop the 305 social scene.
Bobby Lytes
Cast Member
Love & Hip Hop Miami introduced him to the world as Trina's cousin, but over the past four seasons, openly gay artist and entrepreneur Bobby Lytes has carved out his own loud-and-proud identity, serving up catchy tracks, outrageous looks, and an unapologetic point-of-view. Season Five found Bobby on a whole new level – with an expanded fanbase amid countless viral moments – and using his elevated profile to launch a personal and professional rebirth. The results were mixed, but as the season continues, Bobby is doubling down on shedding his messy and chaotic reputation. Alas, his new role as “the peacemaker” may prove even more problematic – as Bobby finds himself caught in the middle of multiple fiery feuds.
Florence El Luche
By day, Haitian immigrant and mother-of-three Florence El Luche operates a restaurant and runs a beauty bar. But by night, the serial entrepreneur transforms into Miami's self-proclaimed “Queen of Kompa,” a Haitian pop style performed in Creole. After a year of dramatic bombshells that ultimately ended her marriage to the duplicitous Marlon, Season Five found Florence moving on romantically – with Claudia, a longtime female friend. Professionally, Flo linked up with Trina for “Bounce Dat,” a hit “Miami meets Haiti” crossover single. But the collaboration went south in dramatic fashion after a missed festival performance and a clash between the two artists and their camps. As Season Five continues, Florence seeks to make things right with Trina – on her own terms – while struggling to manage the demands and manipulations of both her girlfriend and her soon-to-be ex-husband.
Joy Young

An entrepreneur and woman-about-town with more than two decades of experience in the entertainment industry, Joy Young is best known as Trina's cousin and Trick Daddy's (almost) ex-wife. Season Five found Joy in the middle of scandal and controversy when she almost got mixed up with Florence’s estranged husband Marlon. As the season continues, a terminally single Joy – who largely devotes herself to the needs of her superstar cousin – finds herself at a crossroads. Is it time to leave the entourage and spread her wings?

Her often tumultuous marriage to Ray J. has played out in front of the cameras, offering viewers an inside look at the unique trials and tribulations of a high-profile Hollywood relationship. Season Four found the couple at rock-bottom amid a nasty separation and divorce proceedings, but ultimately they decided to patch things up and give love another chance. Princess’ newfound passion for high-stakes poker initially posed an obstacle for the Norwoods, but the family has managed to find a balance in their “tri-coastal” lifestyle as they juggle work and life responsibilities in L.A., Vegas, and Miami. Season Five found Shay in a dramatic new chapter as she raised one-year-old daughter Shajiyah alongside on-again-off-again boyfriend Fabo -- whose abrasive dynamic with the Johnsons ultimately led to a nasty breakup. Trick Daddy
Cast Member
Straight outta Liberty City's "Pork 'n' Beans" projects, Maurice "Trick Daddy" Young overcame a childhood surrounded by drugs and violence to emerge as one of the hottest rappers of the 90s. Twenty-five years, eight albums, and countless EPs, mixtapes and collaborations later, the unofficial Mayor of the 305 has branched out as the owner of wildly successful soul-food restaurant Sunday's Eatery and the host of his smash hit online cooking show “B**** I Got My Pots” - where his colorful commentary is even spicier than his food. Now, Trick is seizing the day -- getting in shape, removing his signature gold grills – and maybe even hitting the dating scene. Professionally, he’s helping put on his nieces The Hollywood Twins, aspiring rappers whose rambunctious, fun-loving personalities may be more than the notoriously cranky Trick Daddy can handle. He’s also got big plans for an anniversary concert celebrating Miami’s contribution to 50 years of hip hop. But with plenty of big personalities in the mix, has the Mayor of the 305 bitten off more than he can chew?
Trina

In recent years, she’s defied the industry odds, attaining icon status with a slew of hit collabs, a blockbuster edition of Verzuz opposite Eve, and a game-changing acoustic “Tiny Desk Concert.” As Season 5 continues, the Liberty City legend is still going hard – while also exploring the possibility of a softer life with her new boyfriend.
